Its Offical, the 2026 Blades & Persimmon OpeN is on!

Thanks to the participants of the inaugural  Blades & Persimmon open Mid-West  Region.   

We had 6 golfers join us on Aug. 22, 2025 at Hunters Ridge Golf Couse in Marion, Iowa.  A perfect links and parkland style course.  

Jeff Wenthe (0 handicap)  of Marion Iowa took Medalist honors with an 80.  Todd Gassman (8) , shot  83,  his first ever round w/ the old stuff tying for second w/ Jeff Textor (3) and Brian Kristiansen(8).  Rex Wittrock (13) shot an impressing 84 to win low net.  Rex also bought the beer with has skins winnings!  Jim McPartland (9) challenged himself from the 6400 yards tees and finished with a 90. 

Each players was provided with commemorative Logo Towel (Thanks  Creater Cedar Rapids Open, Jimmy P & Jeff T).  And a big thanks to  to my wife Lisa and her Circuit , Each players also got a  sleeve of Titleist ballsl (thank you CIPCO!).   A Titleist Tour Balata was also provided for the authentic classic era  golf experience.  The requirement was they had to use it on the first hole.   Many played it  most the round.  

Everyone had a great time.  Todd's looking for a set of his own and Rex volunteered to help with next year!  So, plan to come join us is 2026 for the fun and the challenge!
